Out and About in the Medina

Used cardboard is a useful commodity.
Here it is being taken along derb Dabachi.

Near the Mouassine mosque one passes through a series of arches.

Here one can buy scarves and even a fez.

Nearer us in the suq, two young women wear the fashionable pink djellabahs.
It's always very crowded.

Oh how cool! PINK! Such a nice change from all the black and blue that seems to be the color choice around her.

Lovely photos, as usual :-).

So much beauty and calm in your posts! I am sure even in the Medina a moment of silence must have reigned when you pointed your camera.

So, what is the cardboard used for? I love the series of photos. Feels like I'm there.

It looks like it's cooler under those arches, where the sun is stoped by the rottan sheds.

Elizabeth,

These pictures take me into your world - I dream of visiting Morocco - maybe I will make it a reality one day! Thank you for visiting my blog.

These pics plus the night scene certainly give a feel for what it is like in Marakesh. Not seen cream and pink ( ) before. Not going to even try and spell it.

I love the street scenes. They give so much details and stories about the life there.

That's a wonderful place for photos, with all the shadows and light, the arch ways and all the merchandise.... I'd be in photo heaven there.
