Hanging round at the Golf Club

Because we don't have a car, getting out to the country depends upon good organization or the kindness of friends.
Yesterday we were going out to lunch about 25km out of town.

We got ourselves to the golf club by petit taxi to wait for our friends to pick us up.
Obviously it was no great hardship to hang round there under shady trees.

The ubiquitous hibiscus, but a better photo than my last effort.

Even though Marrakech is in the desert, this was an oasis of color with lovely flowers.

Mopeds and motor cycles by an outbuilding.

A plant whose name I don't know............

and nasturtiums..............

a bench to relax on.
All sorts of fancy SUV's arrived all the time depositing keen golfers.
Our ride was far less glamorous but very welcome nonetheless...

Jacaranda at the Gas Station

Went up to Gueliz on the bus to get supplies from the supermarket.
The medina is wonderful for fruit and vegetables.
Beer is another story.

Opposite Acima, the supermarket, is a Shell petrol station with a jacaranda tree in front of it.

On the roof we have a tiny bit of color too.
Some impatiens that self-seeded in a palm tree pot.

This should have been a red hibiscus - but when it opened two years ago turned out to be pink.
