Handpainted Decorations

So much is decorated in Morocco --from the humble little cart used to transport groceries --and every thing else in the medina....

.....to the doors in our house and a wonderful wooden suitcase.

These second two pictures are from the Baia Palace --painted doors, green and white tiles, cut plasterwork arch.

A window looking in to a collonaded courtyard.
I never tire of the elaborate and wonderful designs.

It is noteworthy that they use plenty of color and design everywhere where one can do design.
Feel like having a vacation there at Morocco.

I really enjoy looking at your blogs and all the pics you post of Morocco as well...Buster and HIS blogs are awesome as well! He is a popular pup among his friends, I see(the life of the party)! lol...he's adorable...and a great writer too, I might add(does he take after his mum? She's a writer, too, it looks like!)..I write poetry, and once in awhile, if I feel brave, I throw in a short story...keep posting!!!!

what colors!

gorgeous - the Moorish influence is evident here in New Mexico also, where much is decorated in the same manner.

I travelled to Marrakeach and trekked across the Atlas Mountains back in 2008 (woah! that was 2 years ago!). I know what you mean about how decorative the city is. What I found so surreal however was the ubiquitous Coca-Cola signs. Even in remote parts of the country, a large sign showcasing the logo against a bright red background.
Strange.

Peace,

Wow your pictures reminded me of Misr (egypt) but they dont have as much of a emphasis on doors or decorations.

Peace,

MoCo

Art can be found no where but in the hand painted decoration since it is a reflection of what our soul is, a demonstration of our misery, love and pride.
