Jamie Oliver and the Famous Butcher

I was recently staying with my daughter who often visited us in Marrakesh.
She said I must watch the English chef  Jamie Oliver's programme on Channel 4
"Jamie Oliver does Marrakesh"  (April 10th 2010)
There, lo and behold, was our friendly butcher from the Mellah market.
It was such fun seeing such a cheery and upbeat program celebrating Moroccan food.
Do watch it if you can and if you enjoy eating...........

I love Jamie Oliver, the series he did in the US trying to change school food was brilliant.

Your photos have a life and make me feel homesick. Marrakech is my favorite city in Morocco, even though I was born and raised in Casablanca. Your photos are truly a celebration of Moroccan lifestyle... Promise, I won't miss Jamie Oliver's show on Morocco. Thank you Elizabeth.

I love Jamie Oliver's style of cooking. So much of it incorporates Northern Africa/Mediterranean/Arab spices and herbs.
