Susie's Sitting Room
A fireplace, chess, potpourri.
A quiet oasis from the bustle of the medina.
A quirky painting of an old 'bab" - city gate.
More lovely smells in a bowl - dried leaves of the roses which are so abundant here.
Cushions all lined up just so........and the metal lights which cast pretty shadows.
Marrakech is a lot about light in all sorts of ways.
And lounging in bed reading in a quiet colored room at the Riad Villa elArsa one of the prettiest places to stay in all of Marrakech.

Such absolutely lovely images of light - soft and alluring. Any more?
Oh I thought that was a bowl of salad until I read your description of it being dried rose leaves. Silly me! (obviously people don't send me enough roses so I don't know well enough what they look like ;) I want a room at the Riad Villa! It looks like bliss to me :)
Love the way the metal lights look. And I really like Susie's sitting room, beautiful. :)
Looks like a scene from a movie! Mysterious and peaceful.
Lovely and peaceful looking. Thanks for the great photos.
Stunning.
You must miss this place so much.
When will you go back!
Absolutely wonderful to see you today. I know that you must have got caught in the long, long thunderstorm. What a way to welcome you back to NYC.
Looking forward to learning much more about Marrkesh.
xo
I especially like the bowl of rose petals.

Susie's sitting room...lovely. The shadows from the metal sconces and lanterns...perfect.
You do take beautiful pictures. Maybe when I get back to Morocco you could give me some tips. I would love to do some photography. Any tips on a reasonablly priced camera: )
All of them are lovely; I like the last one best. I would love to lounge an afternoon away here....or several...!
the lights in the nooks. ahh....

Elizabeth, when I saw your shot of the rose petals... I completely had forgotten that beautiful, lovely rose-smelling hand cream they have in Morocco. I'm not a fan of flowery smelling creams, but that *rose* cream was just intoxicating ... Thank you for sharing .. (p.s. just realized the link to my blog on your bloglink is actually incorrect ! it's just "artofpractice" -- I wanted to tell you so that I didn't lose you as I so enjoy your visits to my blog!) ... take good care, Roxanne
