Ismail's Mom's Magic Chicken Tagine

IMG_0161.JPG, originally uploaded by schmidwix2.

Recipe:
Chicken breasts
every veggie that's in season
love and attention
magic seasonings
long slow cooking under a conical hat
one could attempt this outside Morocco - Williams Sonoma now has packets of tagine spices -
but much better to go there.............

darling e,
I had no idea you were still maintaining this blog!!! I thought you had moved over to your New York blog......ah, one foot in both cities, ahem, or was it a tale of two cities?

love to you both.

Your photo looks good enough to eat!
The chicken looks like 'daube', a casserole with chicken (or beef), veggies, olives and probably a different set of magic spices. It certainly looks yummy.

Are there Moroccan restaurants in New York?

Elizabeth, the food looks so good! I looks mediterranean to me. I love it!
Thanks for stopping by, I don't understand photoshop, either, but my niece does, she simply tries. She's 16. I can only resize the photos.
Have a nice week!

It's making my mouth water! I've never had this dish, but I sure would love to...and in Morroco! Perhaps a trip to find those tangine spices locally is in order. Nothing is better than slow cooked dishes like this...

I have a plain brown tagine pot like that, you have inspired me to cook, I think I'll try some chicken and potatoes and olives.....

Even the food in Marrakesh is so full of color. I am amazed at a culture that loves primary colors so much, they are everywhere. When did we in the U.S. become such a country of gray and black and brown? We need some color! Thanks for the wonderful photos!
