Studio

This is the studio where Robert works.
The Majorelle blue niche was there when we got the house. Other than that the whole room is white.

There is a good view out over the courtyard. So, even though the room is quite small it is very light.

Mimi likes to hang out there.
In fact she is quite a nuisance since she likes to sit on top of the computer or else on Robert's knee when he is trying to do things.
This is the cartoon for a life sized painting of a donkey.

Oh lovely blue niche. Is Robert a painter?/ I guess that's a dump question. Love your cat in the banner and in artistic contemplation. It looks like Robert is painting from one of those marvelous donkey pictures you too. Wish I COULD rent the apt for a few weeks. Man, that would be culture shock for me who have never traveled much of anywhere. Be well, Suki

My work space is so boring, crowded and lacking creativity. I guess it isn't so bad when doing scholarly writing. I would love to see more of Uncle Bob's art. I have always found it so fascinating to ponder. I love the cat. What a beautiful, peaceful pest!

So so wonderful. I feel inspired just looking at the picture. I might have to contract your husband to do some pictures for me! :)

I love how Mimi looks like she's studying the painting. ;-)

Thanks for the view of Robert's work. I especially like the donkey and cart. But then, I love painting donkeys too.

Mimi emailed me that she finds it quite annoying that Robert doesn't understand his role as a cat perch and the purpose of a cat on a computer for energy management. Plus she has to keep up with her emails when you are away from the keyboard.

She does think his work is quite nice, and points out the Ginger Darlings in Wales help with their lady's art work all the time.

Luz agrees with Mimi: after all, cats have a unique viewpoint on the world!!! (Luz is my cat who always sits on the papers I need for my translations....!)
Glad that Mimi is an art connoisseur!
You should see where I work: a total mess, but if I tidy up the desk area it would take me all day - and ca't afford the time.....

It was lovely to see you all and talk of studios, art and cats. And then, this morning to see these pictures was an additional treat!

That pastel drawing of the donkey is quite something.

What an inspirational space: beautiful light, vibrant blue in the niche, appreciative companions...

The donkey just blows me away - and what perfection to capture the cat discussing something with him. (I do believe they usually try to keep conversations private!) Thanks for sharing your space and all the lovely things you have surrounding you.

Love Mimi, Elizabeth! Reminds me to clean up my studio room... thoughts of pawprints in wet paint...
