Because we don't have a car, getting out to the country depends upon good organization or the kindness of friends.
Yesterday we were going out to lunch about 25km out of town.
We got ourselves to the golf club by petit taxi to wait for our friends to pick us up.
Obviously it was no great hardship to hang round there under shady trees.
The ubiquitous hibiscus, but a better photo than my last effort.
Even though Marrakech is in the desert, this was an oasis of color with lovely flowers.
Mopeds and motor cycles by an outbuilding.
A plant whose name I don't know............
and nasturtiums..............
a bench to relax on.
All sorts of fancy SUV's arrived all the time depositing keen golfers.
Our ride was far less glamorous but very welcome nonetheless...

Speaking of Willows...good morning! :) I love the way things in Marrakesh look so sunny and freshly painted. It brightens my day just to come take a peek!
What beautiful pictures! I have been lurking on your blog for a while and I thought it was about time I said hello! I have visited Marrakesh, and Fez and loved it there. That was about 6 years ago and the vivid colours still stay with me. I love how you capture them in your photos.
Does look like an oasis.

Very lovely pics for a sun-starved Londoner to contemplate - that sun-dappled tree with the bench . . ..
And congratulations on the non-car ownership.
I am a bit radical on this: I have just stopped, completely stopped, visiting places - or people - where I can't get there by public transport (including taxis).
Beautiful Elizabeth!
I think is is great that you and your husband get by without a car! The flowers are lush. I miss nasturtiums ! Thanks for taking a photo for me. Hope you and your pals had a great day. Welcome back to Marrakesh!!

Thank you for your friendship!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh....I'm going to gaze at that last photo and imagine myself there.....take a little holiday while sitting at my computer....
You must have had a wonderful day out in the oasis....

all so lovely - the bench under the trees, very inviting
It all looks very inviting there in the green shade.
It is so amazing to me to see how many plants that you have are also found in San Diego. You had such a lovely day, thank for sharing the beautiful flowers with us.
(I love sharing flowers...stop by and get an eyeful of ours!)
Lovely gardens and the contrast with the walls is stunning
Am trying to think of what that unidentified flower is called; it's actually one of my favourites, but my brain isn't working. I think it starts with an L (but whether that is the Latin or the common name, I don't recall).
Finally, I remembered: It's latana!
Poor typist this morning: LANTANA.
