Settling Back In
Lots to do on our arrival.
But the ancient white cat on the roof is there to greet us, as is Ismail.
In our absence they stopped taking phone bill payments at the Post Office.
So I went off to Maroc Telecom in the medina first thing this morning where I discovered they now give out numbers like in a deli. This is a great improvement from standing around indefinitely.
I was number 7, so the whole thing was relatively painless.
The old post office is still being 'improved' and looks quite good so far.
After Maroc Telecom, I went to Sherazade to say we were back and need Ghislan to come to help us clean.
There must have been a great sandstorm while we were away and everything is under a thick film of sand.......
However, the oranges, glimpsed through a school yard wall, look delicious.
Same old pink walls - same interesting wiring........
At home the internet still works. This is very thrilling.
I pass by the Palm Tree Cafe.........."Waha" pretty much means that.
And head home through Djemma ElFna where they are unloading all the fresh fruit and vegetables that we've been missing.
But since we are defrosting the fridge we are holding off buying stuff.
