Pink and Red, Blue and Other Colors

In the late afternoon, the sun sneaks briefly into the courtyard and falls on the wall behind the dining table.

In the morning, if you look directly upwards, you see that the sky is a heavenly blue............ and that the inside of the courtyard will need painting soon.

No messing round with pastels or tasteful black. I've noticed lots of brilliant scarlet lately.
This woman and her son are walking through Djemma ElFna quite early in the morning before it gets crowded.

This little pink flower is entwined in the white jasmine - though it isn't the jasmine itself.
The jasmine is recovering from Ismails's regime and is now much improved.

The usual experiments with sort -of still lives.

A triumph to find flowers other than roses - here larkspur(?) or a form of delphinium (how one longs for BLUE). Also the first time I've seen astromeria .(As you will have noticed, spelling is not my forte.

Hi Elizabeth, nice that you came over to my blog! My husband and I walk through Austria on foot - 625 miles, from East to West, and as time does not permit us to walk the long distance trail non-stop, we make day trips of 10 to 15 miles on weekends. The wonderful thing about it is that we do not meet many people on the trail, we come to regions where we would never have come to, and in the evening of a day-trip, we are longing for the next one. And our dog is also happy...

Your new pictures are phantastic! Especially your still lives are extremely beautiful. I love best the first one with the roses and the wonderful light - it looks like a painting. I had to put it on my desktop! I also love the picture with the pink flower looking through the jasmine leaves!
Bye, regards, Maria

That first photo is a wonderful still life, the similar one with the bottle of Coke made me laugh.

That bright blue sky...so gorgeous.

I love the blue flowers, too. Can't think of what they're called though...

Very painterly still-life, the first one....lush dream-like colour and textures...

Teh blue of the sky in Morocco---it's incomparable...I still remember that enamel-blue from my one visit there, so many years ago.
