Going for an afternoon visit

DSCN1780, originally uploaded by schmidwix2.

Four women walking down derb djedid.
Pink seems to be the color this season - quite a contrast to New York where black is always the rule.
The pink is for Lala in Spain - also for soon to be Valentine's Day.

We would like to take a trip to NY this summer to see the Yankees (neither of us have ever been to Yankee Stadium) and I'd really like to take him to Shea (he's never been to NY) before both of those ballparks are gone. Progress is a good thing, as well as a little sad. There is one long weekend in July that may work depending on Roger's teaching and our class schedules. He would love to meet both of you as well, and Bobby and his wife, and Claudia one day. It is hard when we are all pulled so far apart.

Pretty fabric in your picture. The colors in Marrakesh are so vibrant...wow.

How wonderful to be able to dress yourself in bright color from head to toe and have it be acceptably fashionable! This I write as I sit here in my dark blue dennim jeans and black long-sleeved T-shirt...!

Wow, such a yummy array of pinks, you wouldn't think they all work together, and yet they do, like a blackcurrant raspberry mousse.

I just love all of your pictures. Each day I anxiously wait to view your website. By the way, I have a djellaba in turquoise. My husband had it made for me before he came here to the States.

Very few Moroccan women seem to wear dull colors - coral and green and turquoise are popular too - you feel almost frumpy if you don't wear a little color!
Men wear stripey or strong colored djellahbahs - but their business suits tend to be a little more subdued.
