Early February and spring has sprung. Most of the year this is rather a dull, green droopy thing the cats hide behind and play with. Now it bursts with yellow and scatters dried up petals like wedding confetti.
The same shrub is blooming here in Vienna, for a couple of weeks now. I mistook it for broom brush (ginestra, the Italians call it). For some reason, I knew only Jasmine with white blossoms!

It is the coldest day we have had almost all winter and seeing your flowers, I can smell them and feel as if it is spring.
