Table Cloth with Berber Designs

DSCN1796, originally uploaded by schmidwix2.

Recently, when walking between Ksour Agafy and the road that leads to Mousassine, I saw a charming little shop seIling rather beautiful needlework. There were baby things and pajamas and napkins - all done by hand on pure linen and cotton in very lovely colors.
I went in and chatted to the people who worked there.

Great find! Wish we'd found that shop when we were there last October. Looks good with the rug, too.

Yes, I really love their things and it feels good to be able to support a worthwhile cause.
I will buy all my future presents there.......
such lovely people.

Thank you for showing this Elizabeth. Textiles call me, and to have the opportunity to go with you to see this cloth, makes me happy!

Hope you are well!

I love this and would buy a lot if I were there. ;-) How nice you were able to talk to the folks.

I just found your blog and added it to my favorites! My husband is a native Marrakechi and we are going in a few weeks. Do you think you could email me a better idea of where this shop is? I would love to get somethings! amandamouttaki@gmail.com

Hello there!
I linked to this site from Maryam's and Natl Geo. I will be traveling to Marrakech in April and would love to visit this shop. Would it be possible to email more details? Much appreciated and best wishes!

Carla:
Go to
AlKawtar.org

this gives the street address of the shop.
It is near a very well known restaurant called STYLIA.

E-mail me nearer the time you will be in Morocco - perhaps we can have mint tea together?
